Spinel from Mogok, Myanmar, with Wurtzite Inclusions
Abstract
Recently, a 2.12 ct red faceted gemstone (Figure 20) was submitted to Guild Gem Laboratories in Shenzhen for origin determination. Standard gemmological testing and FTIR spectroscopy revealed that the stone was spinel.
