Brazil is one of the world's most important sources of colored gemstones. On this expedition, you'll visit the origins of some of the most coveted gems in the industry.

Parelhas, Rio Grande do Norte
First discovered in 1987, Brazilian Paraíba tourmalines are among the rarest and most valuable gems in the world — known for their extraordinary neon blue and green hues caused by copper and manganese inclusions.

Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais
Ouro Preto is the only known source of true Imperial Topaz in shades of golden orange to reddish-orange with pink undertones — a gem historically reserved for royalty and among Brazil's most prized treasures.

Belmont Mine, Minas Gerais
The Belmont Mine is one of World's premier privately operated emerald mines, producing gems celebrated for their vibrant bluish-green color and relatively low inclusion levels compared to other origins.

Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais
Governador Valadares is World's most important tourmaline trading hub, producing a spectacular array of colors — from the coveted Indicolite blues to bi-color specimens — traded globally from this city.
A glimpse of what awaits — captured from GUILD's previous field programs around the world.
