Logo use guidelines
Third parties may refer to GUILD factually, but reproduction of the logo must follow these standards. Use only the official files listed below in the approved layout and finish for the background.
Layouts
- Horizontal — Default for headers, certificates, websites, and wide formats.
- Vertical — For narrow columns, square placements, packing, and stacked applications.
- Emblem — For favicon-scale uses, watermark placements, and cases where the wordmark is already adjacent.
Color finishes
- Dark — Full-color crest with dark wordmark — use on light or white backgrounds.
- Light — Full-color crest with light wordmark — use on dark or photographic backgrounds.
- Color — Full-color crest (vertical or emblem) — default color presentation.
- White — Single-color white version — use on dark backgrounds or monochrome reverse production.
- Black — Single-color black version — use on light backgrounds, engraving, foil, and restricted print.
Official inventory includes horizontal, vertical, and emblem files — seven approved assets in total. Choose layout for the space and finish for the background. Do not invent additional colorways or rebuild lockups.

Emblem Crest only

Do
- Use only the official GUILD logo files listed on this page
- Match finish to background: Dark/Color/Black on light; Light/White on dark
- Keep horizontal, vertical, and emblem formats intact — do not rebuild them
- Maintain clear space around the logo equal to at least the height of the letter “G”
- Credit GUILD accurately when referencing laboratory reports or education programs
Do not
- Do not stretch, skew, rotate, outline, or otherwise distort the logo
- Do not recolor, add gradients, shadows, glows, or decorative effects
- Do not convert a horizontal logo into a homemade vertical lockup (or vice versa)
- Do not place the logo on busy imagery that reduces contrast or clarity
- Do not use the logo to imply partnership, endorsement, or certification where none exists
Clear space
Keep the area around the logo free of text, graphics, and edges. As a minimum, reserve clear space equal to the cap-height of the “G” on all sides.
Minimum size
Do not reproduce the horizontal logo smaller than approximately 96 px wide in digital use, or 24 mm wide in print. Keep vertical and emblem versions large enough that every detail remains crisp.
Approved files
Horizontal: logo-dark.png, logo-light.png, logo-white.png. Vertical: logo_vertical.png, logo_vertical_black.png, logo_vertical_white.png. Emblem: logo-only.png.
Permissions
Media, partners, educators, and vendors seeking logo files or co-branded usage must obtain prior written permission from GUILD.
