Overview
In accordance with Meta Platform Terms and applicable privacy laws, GUILD provides a clear way for users to request deletion of their personal data. This page serves as GUILD’s Data Deletion Instructions for Meta apps and related digital services.
You may request deletion either through Meta’s Apps and Websites settings, or by contacting GUILD directly.
Request deletion through Meta (Facebook)
If you used Facebook Login or another Meta integration with a GUILD app or service, you can remove the app and request that your data be deleted from Meta’s Apps and Websites settings:
- Open Facebook Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites
- Select the GUILD app or website, then remove it
- Under View Removed Apps and Websites, open the removed app and choose Send Request to ask that associated data be deleted
Request deletion directly from GUILD
You may also email info{'@'}guildgemlab.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Please include:
- The email address or account identifier associated with your GUILD service
- If applicable, your Meta / Facebook app-scoped user ID or the name of the GUILD app or site you used
- A brief description of the data you want deleted (for example account profile, course learning records, contact form submissions, brochure requests, or waitlist sign-ups)
What we delete
Subject to applicable law and legitimate retention needs, we will delete or anonymize personal data we hold about you that was obtained through GUILD websites, online course accounts, Meta integrations, or related digital services. This may include:
- Account profile details (such as name and email) linked to online services
- Learning activity records associated with an online course account
- Contact, inquiry, or marketing preference records tied to your request
- Enquiry, brochure request, and waitlist submissions, together with the marketing attribution records (such as campaign parameters and landing page) stored with them
- Identifiers received from Meta that associate your Facebook account with GUILD services
What we may retain
We may retain limited information when required by law, needed to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet accounting or professional recordkeeping obligations, or where deletion would impair the integrity of laboratory reports or certificates already issued. Where retention is necessary, we will explain the reason if you ask.
Confirmation and status
After we receive a valid deletion request, we will acknowledge it and process the request promptly. Upon request, we can provide a confirmation reference and a human-readable status update describing whether deletion has been completed or, if applicable, why certain records must be retained.
If Meta sends GUILD a data deletion callback for your account, we will initiate deletion of Facebook-associated data we hold for that user and respond with a status URL and confirmation code as required by Meta.
